Lauren Junker

Hello Dear Reader, a note to you before you journey into my thoughts. This piece on motherhood is my experience and belief only. If I strike a chord in your heart I hope it is one of acceptance, for I have no intentions of excluding. If my writing does not resonate with you or you have feelings to the contrary, I welcome all opinions as I do not believe mine are the only ones worth having.

Grace Roberts

I am sharing my story as a tribute to my soul and to voice an explanation to my children. They have and will always be my breath of fresh air. I fell in love with a man who is Black. This forever changed and nearly erased my life as I had lived it up until then.  It was 1971, I was 25 years old. I married out of love and respect. I had children because I wanted a family. My story will maybe connect with a few and maybe ease a heart that is full but has been broken many times.

On Being:

Gordon Woodworth

I’m a South Glens Falls native now living in an apple-treed meadow on the Schroon River in the southeast corner of the Adirondack Park in Upstate New York.

I’m a writer, journalist, news hound and sports nut. I love to fish for largemouth bass and hunt down birdies on local golf courses.

I plan to write about race, friction, connection, love, media and faith. But don’t hold me to that. Sometimes I have no idea what is going to emerge from my fingertips. I just sit down at my MacBook Pro, open a vein and bleed. Thanks for reading.
